Mastique Lingerie was founded by a mother and daughter team, Jean and Helen.
After having breast cancer, Jean struggled for many years to find well fitting, comfortable and beautiful bras. Together with her daughter Helen, they realised that many ladies who have had a mastectomy must be having the same problem and feel the same way.
After discovering the very limited choice of bras available in South Africa, they decided to go in search of mastectomy wear.
In 2009, Jean and Helen opened the first specialised Mastectomy Wear Boutique in South Africa. Instead of having to manage with what ever they could find, ladies who have had a mastectomy now have the opportunity to own a comfortable, fitted, beautiful bra and ultimately restore their confidence after having breast cancer.
Mastique Lingerie specialises in mastectomy wear and breast prostheses. We stock bras for every stage of recovery, bras that can be taken into hospital (post op), those you can wear during the waiting period before having reconstructive surgery, after reconstructive surgery and also many beautiful bras if you decide not to opt for reconstruction.
All our bras, swimsuits and tops are fitted with pockets to hold the prosthesis securely and discreetly. The value of this necessity is priceless but we believe our mastectomy wear is very competitively priced.
The private setting in which the boutique is situated ensures a comfortable and relaxed environment where ladies receive a personal service, have a wide variety of bras to choose from and can select their perfect bra, swimsuit and top.
